FINAL PROJECT- INSTRUCTIONS

This is a project I would use with a group of 4th ESO or even in 1st Batxillerat. Of course, it always depends on your students' level.

I think it will last around 2 hours and the main objective is to be able to talk about this topic openly and be able to do it without any type of fear. Students are going to discover different kinds of crimes and the main content is vocabulary related to crime, use of linking words in order to write and participate in oral debates. 

They are going to develop their linguistic and audiovisual competence, autonomy and personal initiative, mathematical competence, use of information and digital competence and social and citizenship.

READING COMPREHENSION 

& WRITING

2. Now, click on the title "Reading Comprehension". There is a text about crime statistics. What I want you to do is to read the text and choose the best option according to the text. Once you have finished write an opinion essay about the text on your blog and give a sincere and strong opinon about your ideas and thoughts.

SPEAKING

3. You are going to join in groups of four to reflect on the topic of the unit and you are going to compare it with Spanish crime. It is going to be a kind of debate where every group will be asked to participate and get conclusions about the topic.

Activitat: Daily routines writing - What do you do every morning? 

Em sembla una activita interessant pels alumnes de primer d'ESO. Un cop han après les "daily routines", és bó que els alumnes tinguin un model per escriure el seu propi text. Aquesta activitat m'ha semblat útil per tota la classe, ja que hauran d'aplicar diferent vocabulari i que després un cop els alumnes escriguin el seu propi text poden seguir aquest model com a exemple o aquells que tenen més nivell, ampliar l'escrit.

Per tant, a part de treballar la competència lingüística i audiovisual, també treballaran l'artística i cultural, la competència d'aprendre a aprendre i si l'escriuen a l'ordinador estaran treballant la competència digital.

He escollit aquesta activitat perquè aquest any hi havia una unitat del llibre que parlava sobre "Crime" i vaig buscar un role-play semblant a aquest, tot i que els alumnes no havien de dibuixar, cosa que m'ha cridat l'atenció i trobo interessant. 

A més, de la competència lingüística i audiovisual també treballarien la competència artística i cultural i autonomia i iniciativa personal.

Amb aquesta activitat hi ha molt de vocabulari per posar en pràctica i que l'alumne ha de consolidar.

I have just learnt how to create a blog. I'm sure I'm going to use it with my students for sharing their tasks and let's them give their opinions about our projects!
